Insomnia

These nails took forever to do freehand. Gold with sparkly bronze tips. Something to do while I was awake.

After the newspaper is delivered, the sun comes out, and the birds start to chirp is when I can actually go to sleep. It's currently 4:02 am and as normal people sleep, I'm playing with my iphone and listening to Amanda Blank.

I just got this "What to Wear" application which is basically a closet organizer. I can take pictures of my clothes and plan outfits accordingly. All the reviews said it was dumb/stupid, but I'm thinking it could be useful when all my clothes are folded into tiny little sausages in my dorm room and I want to decide what to wear. We'll see how this works out.

I could go on and on about all the other apps I have, but I know it's not really interesting. Especially to people that don't have iphones. Haha sorry. I'll post about more exciting things later.

My background is a map from here to Irvine. Obviously I'm excited!

My Life Is Coming Together

Tonight I fixed my schedule of classes of the fall and as nerdy as it sounds, I'm so excited for school to start. And no, not just for social reasons. Yes, I want to meet new people and have life experiences, but I also want to learn and expand my mind. I've heard good reviews about my professors and I'm looking forward to getting an education for my future.

This past Friday and Saturday was SPOP (Student Parent Orientation Program) and as cheesy as it sounds, it was a life changing experience. I fell in love with the campus all over again and it just reassured me that I'm going to have the time of my life. My hall was filled with outgoing people that made my stay a constant party. We even had cheers and hand signals! The staffers were genuinely nice and willing to answer any of our questions. They organized a series of activities called "spOlympics" where we all broke into teams to win the prize. Turns out we all won 'street cred.' Haha then a good 10 or so of us stayed up ALL NIGHT talking, laughing, and playing games like 'Asa', fishbowl, watermelon, and 10 fingers. Actually, I lost in watermelon so I had to eat breakfast the next day without my hands... haha

On the last day we did deeper activities like cross the line and the touch game, which resulted in a room filled of tears. We all sat in a huge circle facing outwards and closed our eyes. A staffer read statements like "please touch someone who inspires you" or "please touch someone who doesn't know how beautiful they are" as a rotating group of 5 went around and tapped people. It was crazy how we all became so close in the mere 36 hours. I never thought people would feel such positive things about me, and it was crazy how we all impacted each other so greatly. Now we're all facebook friends of course, and I can't wait to see these people again in the fall!

I'm coming away from this experience with a million inside jokes and faith restored in humankind. The atmosphere is just so different down there. Everyone is nice and open to new things. I didn't feel judged once. There are nice people out there, and I can't wait to meet them all.

All Smiles

Doing what makes me happy and enjoying life. Happy 4th of July! Barbeque and festivities tomorrow. Time for good food with good people.

Last night we celebrated Ryan's 18th birthday by going to Jackson Rancheria then hanging out. It was a really fun night, despite Brian's car getting a flat in the middle of a dark, abandoned road. I felt like I was in a horror movie, waiting to be killed. We all laughed about it after though. Long night that turned into morning. I didn't go to bed until 8:30AM. I think that's a record.

Sin City

Vegas was a blast. I am so glad Huey came along. How could I have fun in Sin City without my partner in crime?  There are so many pictures but I decided to post these two because A) I love my new fedora B) I love my knotted silver top and strawberry daiquiris.

My new cruiser was fixed tonight so I plan to ride it a lot in the near future. Basket is perfect for Billy or picnic supplies.  I have so many things I want to do this summer, so I need to get crackin! I don't have time to waste.

Chicky Chicky Boom Boom

I'm back! For now at least.  Anyway, life has been much better since it's summer.  Last weekend my momma took me to the mall to get my graduation present - this new MacBook! Loooove it. Graduation is tomorrow and I seriously can not wait.  Here are some pictures from recently activities:

Not A Second To Waste

I wish I could have more normal relationships with people. I always find myself in these situations and I have no idea how it happens. Why can't I find more chill people?

Today was senior ditch day and I spent it in San Francisco with girlfriends. We did a lot of walking, but took a lot of cute pictures along the way. That morning/night before was pretty rough. Andrew, Brian, Collin, Ryan, Jack (and later Alyssa and Caitlin) came over and we hung out in my backyard. As always, we managed to find our way to Alyssa's front yard in the middle of the night. Highlights of the night included Brian smashing cans on his head (ouch), Ryan holding onto the back of Brian's car as we drove around, and Andrew kidnapping Alyssa. Why is it that I always manage to take peoples' clothes? I type this as I'm wearing Brian's American Apparel sweatshirt and Andrew's sweatshirt sits next to me.

I have so much work to do, but have too much on my mind to function. Help.

Mamacita

Happy mothers day! This morning went to Zocalo for brunch. The restaurant was lively and beautiful with the huge open windows letting in the cool breeze. The generous portions of food were delicious as well. Can't wait to go back again. After we went to the Roseville Galleria and got free popcorn at Popcornopolis. I also picked up these sunglasses. I need to stock up for the sunny weather in college!

Sleepy

My life has come to the point where the only thing keeping me sane are thoughts of college and my close friends. I am so over high school and can not wait to leave already. The people, the drama, the grades - it all needs to be over with. I find it hard to even be civil to some people. You know that scene in Mean Girls where Lindsay Lohan visualizes diving over the table to attack Regina? That's currently my life story. Give me my diploma now so I can go to this beautiful place:

the sky is the most beautiful after it rains :D by Jonathan :D.

Okay, I realize how crazy I sound. I have had some amazing adventures since I last updated. Cindo de Mayo went down in the books for sure. What's better than margaritas and sombreros? Brian and Andrew also showed their faces last night and I was pretty happy. I miss those boys and their muscles. Haha. I've done a lot of shopping (of course) lately and today I picked up this ring and pair of sandals:
So ready for summer.

Spring Bling

Life's been pretty great. Huey's senior ball was fun and seeing everyone's dresses was pretty hilarious. Also saw some pretty sick dance moves. Soooo excited for future plans. Also, glad I've cut unnecessary things out of my life. Time to focus on things that matter.

Cologne

Free people tank, UO top and bag, Steve Madden boots

Once again I managed to avoid all hallway patrol/campus security and make it through the day without getting detention for my outfit. I can't help it that it's sunny outside and my legs are begging to be free. Thanks Amy for the lovely braid.

I'm excited about all the potential in these boots. I'm on the search for the perfect floral print dress. Think along the lines of Cologne's vintage inspired line.

Everything To Me

Now I understand why Whitney from The City liked Jay so much after she saw him play. Tamarama is perfect for relaxing, and this video is pure happiness.

Ps,

Never leave home without a good luck Kiwi!

Lucky sweatshirt, random tee and cut-offs, Made By Elves booties, Mom's old D&B purse

Current annoyances include flakes, back pain, and the fact that I keep hitting my new piercing every time I brush or touch my hair. Can't wait til it's fully healed and I can wear a ring. I have decided today will be a good day. Nick and Huey are coming over, what a great way to end the weekend.

Gobble Til You Wobble

I hope everyone has a lot of good food to eat, and good company to share it with. I'm going to Courtney's, which is always fun. Then it's on to Black Friday! Hopefully I am able to find presents for other people, not just myself. This break is finally looking up. Yesterday I went to lunch with Andrew, Brian, Collin, and Ryan. Being with guys is more relaxing sometimes. I'm off to do my hair and get dressed now. I'll upload pictures from my adventures later!

1980

Amy and I went to the Mickey Avalon and Dirt Nasty concert at the Boardwalk tonight. It was amazing! I love their vulgar lyrics and dance moves (or should I say, thrusting). Beardo wasn't too bad either. He did his own remix to M.I.A.'s "Paper Planes." It went more like, "all i wanna do is *bang* *bang* *bang* *bang* *bang* and snort your drugs!" The only downside is that I'm short and tall people seem to love to stand right in front of me. Three fights also broke out right next to me. But what do you expect? Everyone was either drunk, high, or both. Some were actually just plain idiots. It was a good night though! More money down the tube, but well worth it.

Sail Away

People think that I'm high maintenance because I don't repeat shirts and I believe in cleanliness. In reality, it doesn't take much to make me happy or brighten my day. While I was getting frustrated from all the morning traffic, I was waiting my turn to pull into the parking lot. I was going to let Bill go, but he waved for me to go. That kinda surprised me and reminded me that people can be kind.
