Last few days have been good. Anything involving prime rib, megaphones, glow sticks, trapper hats, and late nights that lead to early mornings is always fun. Who needs sleep anyway? Dim sum tomorrow, yes!
Woke up this morning to all my pretty presents. Here are some of them: Holding the new Marc by Marc Jacobs jacket. It doesn't feel like Christmas. I'm tired. Billy ran away but now he's back. Going to dinner at my cousin's later. Mmm. Now that presents are over, the next thing to be excited for is New Years. Yayayay. Don't know what I'm doing yet, but I know it will be fun...
Last night Huey, Nick, and I went to Il Fornaio to enjoy a nice dinner before we exchanged gifts. The food would have been better if it didn't take an hour to get to our table! We opened presents at Nick's and we all loved what each other gave. Nick gave Huey and I these bright Kate Spade coin pouches and fizzy bath ball. I gave Nick a really soft Banana Republic sweater and Huey gave him a Buffalo zipper hoodie and an argyle t-shirt. I gave Huey three tops and an engraved ring. She gave me a Free People and C&C top, as well as a necklace and set of bangles. What a fun night. Huey slept over and once she fell asleep I drew on her with a sharpie. Typical.
The night before Amy and I exchanged gifts. I got her two urban shirts, a Betsey tank, Free People bra and pantie set, Ugly Betty book, monogrammed mini flask, and a cashmere scarf. She gave me a Lipstick Prophets t-shirt and started a scrapbook. And she already gave me boots and some jewelry.
High school relationships are so funny, and even funnier when they're kept hidden. If you're ashamed to be in a relationship, don't be in one! Anyway, this weekend has involved a lot of shopping and random activities with Amy, Brian and Andrew. First they came over to work out by running around outside in the 40 degree weather. And gossiping in cars while Pocket security gets suspicious is the best. Then, today we went to Oto's to buy sushi making stuff but that didn't work, so we got mochi ice cream. I just got back from hanging out with some funny, loud (and hungry) friends. I haven't kicked it with Natalie in weeeeeks. Oh, and I can check something off my list now. Yesterday I did some serious cleaning out of my room, love my organized jewelry.
I wore my new buffalo plaid shorts tonight. And I love best friend rings.
It's been a long week obviously. So relieved the term paper is done and it's finally break! This week was rough, going to sleep at 6am was stupid. Today I went shopping for Christmas presents. New Betsey bag and Betsey necklace for myself. Sooo cute. Can't wait for all the fun festivities that'll take place in the next two weeks.
And now, some funny cookies Amy and I made for friends.
Not quite on the wild, since the rain makes me lethargic. Notice how I'm not doing my term paper. Possibly going to hot pot at Courtney's tonight. Yes, another distraction. I got less than 4 hours of sleep because I went to this appreciation party at the rack. There were free cookies and hot cider, yum. Then I went downtown and got a dress, top, and sequined blouse (perfect for new years). Yaaaaay. I was dead tired. The definition of shop til you drop.
Online shopping beats actual work. New layout was also a nice distraction. I've accumulated a nice collection of inspiration photos for when I redo my room over break. All thanks to random blogs and the selby. My fingers are numb so that is all for now.
Friday night Amy and I met up with the Taylors to watch the wrestling match. The other school was horrible, which made watching more entertaining. Andrew, Miles, and Anthony won their matches. Still, since it was my first time watching wrestling, I was not prepared for all the ... wiggling and jiggling. I made up my own names for various moves, including: "The Panini", "Chicken Wing", "Awkward Turtle", and "Moon Over My Hammy." Then Amy and I got froyo and hung out.
Free people tank, Juicy Jacket, Urban pants and boots
Thursday and Friday were obviously plain, uneventful days. School is tedious and it's hard to stay motivated to study and do homework, let alone pay attention in class. I just keep thinking about break to keep me sane. It doesn't help that everyone is being completely ridiculous. I didn't think one could get so low as to be reimbursed for helping another.
In anatomy we went to the weight room to learn about muscles. Of course that meant Amy and I finished in two seconds and went outside to gossip and take pictures with Lindsay. This crazy weather has gotten me again. The morning was freezing, so black was appropriate. But by the end of the day, the sun came out and it was actually nice. I want it to snow in Sacramento again.Zara top, Urban puffy sleeve jacket, vintage skirt, urban boots
Today I wore my mom's DKNY City skirt as top. It wasn't exactly warm in the mere 47 degrees, so I wore my wool coat over. The only thing keeping me going right now is the thought of break. I will definitely not waste any of it.
