The Capitol

So our entire senior class got to go to the Capitol today. We got "Get Your Vote On" tshirts, listened to representatives from the different parties, got a free lunch, attended a rally with different guest speakers and prizes, then listened to more people. It was pretty interesting. I have to admit that up until now I've really hated politics. I'm starting to get a little more into it, which is difficult since my school is so overly democratic. It gets really annoying and makes me hate politics all over again. You can have your thoughts, but there is no need to think you are superior and put down others for their beliefs. On the extremely crowded light rail ride back, it broke down! We walked back to school and I drove Courtney home. My toes hurt now, pointy shoes are not so comfortable.
